Pacesetter provided the Pacesetter Winter Classic Basketball Tournament at the College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph, MN in 2018 on Saturday, March 3 and at both the College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph, MN and the Whitney Center in St. Cloud, MN on Sunday, March 4.
All boys and girls teams in Minnesota, all US states and Canada in grades 4-8 were invited to play in 2018.
All players must either be enrolled in the same school school system or live or attend school in the same city, the same school district or tribal community.
All teams guaranteed 3-4 games.
Championship teams will receive a team plaque and top finishers will receive individual medal with neck ribbons.
In 2018, eighty-two youth basketball teams in grades 4-8 played Saturday and Sunday in the Pacesetter Winter Classic at St. Ben’s and Sunday at the Whitney Rec Center.
Teams that played were from Albany, Mankato, Alexandria, Osceola (WI), ROCORI, Thompson (ND), Monticello, Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial, Sartell, Hutchinson, New Ulm Cathedral, Moose Lake-Willow River, Bagley, Little Falls, Eden Valley-Watkins, Minneapolis, Foley, Hibbing, Lester Prairie/Holy Trinity, Hutchinson, Redwood Falls, Superior (WI), Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton, Brooklyn Center, Pierz, Waterville-Elysian-Morristown, Dassel-Cokato, West Central Area, Blue Earth, Maple River, Perham, New London-Spicer, Plainview-Elgin-Millville, Kimball, Hastings, Perham, West Fargo (ND), Park Rapids, Annandale, Barnesville, Byron, Benson, Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart, Canby, Pillager, and Jackson Co. Central.
