The Pacesetter “Holiday Classic” Basketball Tournament will be held on December 21 at Mountain Iron-Buhl schools and is open to all Minnesota boys and girls school/community teams in grades 4-8.
Pacesetter Great Five-State Playoffs – Grades 4-9 — Pacesetter offers a 5-state playoff system for all youth teams in grades 4-9 in MN, IA, ND, SD and WI. Over 1,000 school/community teams play in this developmental system with the top eight teams in each grade/gender group advancing to the Pacesetter Great Five-State Championships in Minneapolis, where all teams play at least one game on the main Target center floor – home court of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx, who sponsor these playoffs.
“Sweet Sixteen” Championship “The Best of the Best!”— Pacesetter has been conducting the “Sweet Sixteen” Championship since 1991. This high-profile tournament places the strongest four Minnesota teams from each class into one 16-team bracket. Teams then play two full games each day (9-min. stopped time quarters) for the over-all championship.
Pacesetter has been providing high-quality, low-cost basketball camps since 1980. These camps are being offered:
Area Camps–serve players in the 5-state area. Camp hosts design the session schedules with grades and genders to meet their needs. These camps range from 3-4 days with sessions ranging from 1-6 hours per day for players 1-12.
“Tour of Champions” Camps–are available across the 5-state area. “Tour of Champions” camps will range from 1-2 days with sessions ranging from 6-8 hours per day for players 5-12. feature the very best coaches in the Midwest. Host coaches may use them as coaching clinics as well for their staff.
Pacesetter Sports teams up with Minnesota Basketball News to provide the Top 100 Expo Showcase each summer in early July, featuring top-ranked players from Minnesota and the surrounding states. Teams of 7-10 players play three games in one day in an 8-team tournament while being observed by college coaches and the Minnesota Basketball News staff who rank the Top 50 players in each class for the next season. All coaches of the teams are college coaches, who also conduct a preliminary practice session. The Pacesetter College Prep camp is held in conjunction with the Top 100 Expo, providing players with college potential a 7-hour training program the day before the Top 100 Expo. This camp is staffed by the same college coaches who coach the teams in the Expo the following day.
